Why Do You Need To Test Your Water

Testing the water that you drink is a question that you should look at very seriously. Water is something that you can not just look at and decide if it is safe for you and your family’s consumption. Throughout history a majority of contaminants that have been found in water are not visible. In addition to illness causing contaminants, a variety of water problems such as smell, taste, cloudiness, staining and mineral deposits may be symptoms of your water. Through the years we have seen many reasons as to why you need to have your water tested and monitored.

Here are some of the most common reasons:

1. To make sure that the water my family and I are drinking is safe and clean.
2. Fluoride content should be checked to make sure that the proper amount is within your water.   
3. When buying a house, to make sure that I am not buying a house with an unsafe water supply.
4. When selling a house, it is a great selling point that you have tested your water, and you can prove it to prospective buyers.
5. To set a baseline for my waters purity, and make sure that it doesn’t change due to activities by local neighbors, farmers and source water changes.
6. If recent plumbing work has been done, are there any changes in my water quality.
7. To make sure that any water purification system already installed is functioning properly.
